Rebecca Troxler received her training at the North Carolina School of the Arts and the Juilliard School.  She performed in the Mozartean Players, an original instrument chamber music group in New York, and she recorded two volumes of Haydn trios on the Arabesque label.  She performed her New York debut in 1983 at Merkin Hall.  That same year she joined the faculty of Duke University, where she still teaches applied flute, on both baroque and modern flutes, as well as music theory.  She is active as a member of the newly-formed North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, an orchestra whose members come from California, Indiana, Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia.  She awaits the release of two CDs on the Musica Omnia label:  "Flute sonatas of the sons of Bach" and "Chamber music of C.P.E. Bach."  Ms. Troxler lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
