Cressida Sharp, Soprano

Cressida spent three years as a choral scholar at Clare College, Cambridge. While at university she appeared as soprano soloist in Bach's Matthäus-Passion and Messe in h-moll and Handel's Ode for St Cecilia's Day, and played the role of Cathleen in Vaughan Williams' opera 'Riders to the Sea'. She also broadcast as a soloist on Radios 2 and 3 and has appeared on recordings under the Harmonia Mundi label. Following her time in Cambridge, she has performed with various Yorkshire and Cheshire-based orchestras, and appeared in the title role of Massenet's 'Manon' with Leeds Youth Opera.
